The term “yacht girl” became super popular in the past year when old photos of Meghan Markle started circulating the Internet along with claims that she used to work as a yacht girl and party (or sometimes do much more) on yachts owned by rich businessmen.
So, while we will probably never find out whether this happened or not, in this article, I wanted to talk about yacht girls and about the hidden dangers that come with this job that people don’t often talk about.
So buckle up, ’cause this is a wild one. And hopefully, by the end of this article, you would have made up your mind to never become a yacht girl.
Let’s start from the beginning:
Table of Contents
What is a “Yacht Girl”?
“Yacht girl” is a term used for young (and usually super hot) women who go on the yachts of wealthy people to provide fun and entertainment for the men on the yacht.
Yacht girls can be found in most places where wealthy playboys with luxury yachts are to be found, which are usually extravagant locations such as Cannes, Ibiza, Dubai, etc.
Now, right off the bat, I have to tell you that although this title isn’t as appealing as it sounds, these girls often cash in big for their “services.”
However, their services can range from just being arm candy up to having sex with multiple men a day (often at the same time) and having even weirder things done to them.
How Much Money Can You Make As a Yacht Girl?
The “salary” offered to yacht girls is quite lucrative and ranges between $10,000 and $40,000 per week, but many factors determine how much money a yacht girl would earn.
Some of these factors include her social media status or popularity, modeling career, her looks, her manners, her age, the agency that brings her to the yacht, the location, and of course, the things she’s willing to do to earn a good buck.
While doing my research for this article, I read a piece from Dana Kennedy in The Hollywood Reporter from 2013 where she says women ranging from what the French call putes de luxes (high-priced call girls), who charge an average of $4,000 a night, to local streetwalkers, who normally get little more than $50 or $75 an hour, converge on Cannes for what one Parisian call girl refers to as “the biggest payday of the year.”
Therefore, it’s safe to say that yacht girls in Cannes can earn a good amount of money per night or week during busy periods of the year. Some of them don’t even have to work for the most part of the year after one week on a yacht in Cannes.
However! While all this may sound incredibly appealing, trust me, it’s not all champagne, glitz, and glamour, and there are so many horror stories out there that will make your hair stand on end while reading about some experiences these girls have had on these yachts.
The Risks of Being a Yacht Girl
By the powers of deductive reasoning, it would seem like yacht girls are the equivalent to landlubbing bottle service girls in clubs.
A more accurate definition of a yacht girl is that she’s, essentially, a maritime call girl. Dana Kennedy’s article in The Hollywood Reporter continues to explain it best:
“Women installed on yachts in Cannes during the film festival are called ‘Yacht Girls,’ and the line between professional prostitutes and B- or C-list Hollywood actresses who accept payment for sex with rich older men is sometimes very blurred…”
But consider that these women are actresses who already have some sort of public status that doesn’t necessarily buy them safety and a guarantee of having a great time, but it does guarantee them some sort of comfort and special treatment.
However, how about the women who are “nobodies” and are told they can have all these things just to be lured into a world of sexual exploitation, abuse, and not even receiving the amount of money they were promised in the first place after all is done?
Philippe Camps, a lawyer for a Paris-based anti-prostitution organization that was a civil plaintiff in the trial of Elie Nahas, a Lebanese businessman who was behind the biggest prostitution network in France, says that many of the women in this situation were brought to Cannes under false pretenses and were coerced into prostitution.
Here’s a confession from a girl who ended up on one of these yachts for a week:
“When I landed in Paris, I was met by a guy holding a sign just like any other limo driver would in the US. The only difference is this guy was herding everyone onto a bus. A flight would come in, and four or five other models would get on the bus. I landed around 8 am, so I only had to wait on the bus for an hour. Some of the models had been there since 5 am and waited and slept as the bus filled.
I guess I assumed I would get to Nice by plane or train but had been put off when I asked and only told that someone would meet me at the airport. A hundred women all on a bus. Most had obviously either gone straight from a club to their flight, or they thought they were going to be put to work immediately upon landing. I’m not sure how some of the women could even sit because their dresses were so tight.
Some guy gave a welcoming speech in French and then in English. Then, another guy who looked like he beat people up for a living spoke in what I later learned was Russian and Polish. Over half of the bus was filled with women from Eastern Europe. I later understood that more women from Eastern Europe were being brought in because they were willing to have sex every night.”
You can read the full confession/experience here, but in summary, she was paid $25,000 a week to end up on a nightmare cruise that was initially advertised to her as a luxury yacht where she saw regular, everyday girls being sexually exploited and abused by men while passed out from drinking.
And let’s not forget about the “porta-potties,” which are Instagram models with a few hundred thousand followers that get flown to sip cocktails and take a few snaps on a yacht in Dubai, only to be pooped on by a rich Arab later on.
You can read all about porta-potties here, but I must warn you, you better brace yourself before clicking on that article cause the information you’ll find is appalling.
So, to summarize, if you are “lucky” to have some sort of status in the form of a good social media presence, a modeling career, extremely good looks, or an agency that stands behind you, you may be at slightly less risk to get sexually exploited by multiple men a day, but this is something that’s usually made clear before even receiving payment, so it’s up to you whether you will agree with it and accept it.
Other than that, if you are just a regular nobody, you are at high risk of being sexually exploited, raped, drugged, and having weird things done to you that you may not even have the chance to give your consent to.
Therefore, it’s safe to say that there are many risks of being a yacht girl, including physical and psychological damage and trauma that could haunt you for years after even one bad experience.
So, in my opinion, no matter how much money yacht girls earn, it’s definitely not worth it because it requires a lot from you, and a monetary reward simply doesn’t even begin to cover that.
How to Make Money Safely With Sex Work
We are so lucky that nowadays, sex work has shifted into the digital age.
Digitalizing sex work allows you to be safer and do sex work from within the comforts of your own home and at the hours you set yourself.
So, if you have been wanting to start making money sexually online, here are a few of the easiest ways to do it:
Selling Feet Pics
There is quite a demand for feet pic on the market as millions of people love feet and are willing to pay for pictures of healthy and attractive-looking feet or whatever tastes different people might have.
Customers usually pay anywhere from $5, $20, $50, or even more for feet pictures and videos. Therefore, you must have a base price for the first photo, and then you can add the cost per additional photo or video.
People who want to buy your feet pics may often want to get in touch to “negotiate” or request a custom order.
Therefore, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that you will receive payment offers in exchange for “doing stuff” with your feet, such as rubbing oil on them or even just painting your nails in a certain color.
At the end of the day, it depends on you whether you want to accept these offers. However, this may be a potentially good money maker.
